We all know how mental and physical health go hand in hand but it can be confusing and overwhelming to know what we need to do to best look after ourselves.

With Pilates To BE, you’ll be on an evidence-based* pathway in an inclusive and friendly community environment on your way to strengthening, overcoming chronic pain, reducing your risk of injury, and improving balance and flexibility so you can simply ‘do life better’.

We are committed to staying up to date with the latest science and clinical guidelines to optimise great health outcomes. We can do this because we have a passion for learning and growing and are open to adapt what we do as new knowledge comes to light rather than be wedded to the past and fixed in our approach.

Joseph Pilates was a great innovator and passionate about moving and strengthening the whole body. We honour his spirit and intent in everything we do.

We are not about perfect poses or positions, we are about helping you to achieve your goals. So when we suggest position adjustments, it is not about aesthetics but only ever about optimising the challenge for you in each exercise.

We don’t label and categorise people, we all have different strengths and weaknesses and that changes daily/weekly! We embrace where you are today physically and mentally and support you so you can be Free To Move and Free To BE, Just BE!

*We practice the original Pilates exercises in the context of current best practice exercise science guidelines for improving ‘healthspan’ (lifespan + life quality). We call this evidence-based Pilates.
